Hi, I'm Arna. I'm an incoming Postdoctoral Researcher at the Data Science Institute at the University of Chicago, working on the Data Ecology initiative with Raul Castro Fernandez.
My research is at the intersection of Behavioral Economics and Computer Science. Much of it deals with behavioral biases in technology adoption. Methodologically, I use behavioral lab experiments, NLP, and household data.
I completed my PhD in Economics at the University of Hamburg, where I was supervised by Gerd Muehlheusser (Economics) and Judith Simon (Ethics in IT). During my PhD, I was a fellow of the German Research Foundation (DFG) as a member of the Research Training Group (RTG) in Philosophy, Politics & Economics.
